Artist's Description
The Pier At Avila Beach California by Barbara Snyder
The famous Avila Pier is one of the great fishing docks on the Central Coast of California. People come from all over the state to try their luck. Some catches have include nice sized halibut and even some huge sharks have been pulled in.
Avila Beach Pier is one of three piers in the town of Avila Beach. This pier is open to the public and extends out almost directly south from the main beach in Avila Beach. Fishing from the pier is free and does not require a license like all other public piers in California. But if you don’t watch to catch your own seafood, you can get some at the Custom House, Ocean Grill or other nearby restaurants.
The other pier that is open to the public is the Harford Pier where you’ll find the Old Port Inn and two more beaches.
