Makes today�s special effects, monster movie makers look like nothing more the copy artist.

Even with all of their special, super-duper, high tech computers and they are basically really just recreating what others have done well over 100 years ago. I also want to restate how we approach these very old, old images. Depending on the method of capture used to create the digital file, there are different levels of quality to the different images. Some of them are very clean but yet others you can see the actual aging, or cracking or other results of just being old. In some case very old. We have images from originals dating back to the 1300’s.

We could spend hours and hours cleaning these images up but if we did they would have to sell for a lot more money. We are trying to keep the prices as low as possible so we do minimal Photo Shop work. We feel that a certain amount of the original aging that shows through in the digital file adds true character to the finish piece. If you hang a reproduction of an art piece dating back hundreds of years and someone is offended by the flaw or two, there is a serious lacking in the appreciation of the art itself and the great talent that created it.
