A Quite Evening at Morro Bay Yacht Club by Barbara Snyder
This actually very, very early morning taken from the balcony of the Estero Inn.
Morro Bay is one the many great seaside tourist destination on the west coast located in San Luis Obispo County. It is famous for its quit harbor and is home of a large number of pleasue boaters as well as one of the California's largest working fishing fleets.
It is also famous for Morro Rock a volcanic plug in Morro Bay, California, on the Pacific Coast at the entrance to Morro Bay harbor. A causeway connects it with the shore, making it a tied island. The rock is protected as the Morro Rock State Preserve.
We have a lot of images of the Morro Bay area including many of the harbor and the famous Morro Rock. Go to FASGallery.com and put Morro Bay in the search to them.
The Morro Bay Yacht Club is a private, non-profit organization devoted to boating activities, along with the protection and enjoyment of our picturesque bay and coastline. We participate in both competitive and non-competitive boating activities throughout the year. Anyone at least 21 who owns a boat, is planning to buy a boat, or regularly enjoys boating activities in someone else’s boat is invited to apply for membership. Currently our members’ boats range in size from kayaks to ocean cruisers, and just about everything in between.
Many of our club activities center around sailing with small boat races held inside the bay or at local lakes, and big boat races held in nearby Estero Bay.
