This is looking down on to a wharf plank extending out over the water. It is in Morro Bay, California and is just one of the many species of wild birds located in the Morro Bay Bird Sanctuary which basically competences the entire city and a good part of the surrounding area.

Of course Morro Bay is also know for the famous Morro Rock and is one of California's favorite tourist destinations.
