Edouard Bisson , born in Paris in 1856 and died in 1939, is a painter French , especially portraits and genre scenes specialist. It is representative of the fireman style end of the century.
Bisson was a pupil of Gérôme . He exhibited regularly at the Salon des French artists , especially female figures in the academic zeitgeist. He is rewarded with an honorable mention in 1881 and 1889 and a third-class medal in 1897. He received a bronze medal for the 1900 Exposition Universelle in Paris . His paintings are often represented by prints and the press of the time.
He became a Knight of the Legion of Honor in 1908.
Bisson exhibited regularly until his death in 1939, developing his personal interpretation of female beauty, away from new trends.
