Description
Water Hazard at Number Five Santa Maria Country Club by Barbara Snyder
The first hole at Santa Maria, California, is considered to be the first hole where there is a lake with a waterfall, beautiful water plants that usually have gorgeous flowers. The lake, with all of its beauty is a threat to golfers that are long off the tee.
But it is a double hazard because it comes back into play when coming back down the number five fairway and can be easily reached from the tee for even shot hitters. I can tell you that with firsthand experience!
It is also a great place for feeding ducks and geese.
This capture was done with my iPhone on a rainy, cloudy day and the ducks are nowhere to be found. Seems they did not want to get wet.
